I can honestly say that I have always looked up to Mike from the swim club, high school, Miami, and on our way to Chicago. Reading through the groomsmen list, I belive you have captured everyone's personality to a tee, especially Bill's. Unfortunately, Cara and I will not be able to attend. It is one of my more regretable decisions but I have no doubt, it will be a wedding full of wonderful memories.
We seriously cannot wait to be in the sun celebrating the two of you!
Sorry you guy's, it's a trip I will not be able to take. But you guy's piced a great plce and I wish all the best. Thx for the invite.

Sarah and Mike, With great regret, Kim and I will not be able to attend your wedding in Puerto Morelos. Looking at the resort online, you chose a beautiful place. I know it will be a wedding to remember and I'm sorry I can't be there. Congratulations and best of luck! Trevor
Mike & Sarah,
We are so happy for the two of you and will be thinking about you on your special day. With baby Raupple making their debut any day we will be unable to attend. Enjoy every minute, it all goes way too fast!
Jeff & April Raupple
Hello, Mike and Sarah!!!

Lots of Love,
Always, Mr. and Mrs. Harb!!!!!! oxoxox
Congratulations on your wedsite! We are honored to be a part of your special day. Thank you for choosing wedsite.com to share your wedding plans and experiences with your friends and family.
Puerto Morelos is the small town near the Now Saphire Resort and is 2.5 miles south of the resort on the coast. It is the oldest Sea port in Quintana Roo and is a small fishing village. The climate in March can range from 68-85 degrees with an average of 76 (hurricane season is June - November so there should be very little rainfall). Anyone interested in snorkeling there is great snorkeling there in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. There are several restaurants and bars there for those wanting to venture off the resort and also a crafts market.
Mike and I are honored to have Mr. William Fluharty officiating our wedding ceremony. We both felt it would be more meaningful to have a close friend marry us and Billy was our obvious choice. Billy and Amanda are dear friends to us and they are an amazing example of the type of what a loving marriage is.
I have been best friends with Corinne since we were 16. Funny stories about Corinne.....hmmm I better be careful what I write here because her's in return may be better:) I'll just leave it at this, I love her like a sister and she enjoys eating steak wrapped in tin foil.
Amanda is like a big sister to me, the wiser version of yourself you want to be with way better grammer:) I love her sense of humor and how we laugh together. I'm so happy to have her in my life and she feels like family to me.
Amy is my friend I relate to the most, we've been through so many similar things in life and get each other without explanation. She's strong and beautiful inside and out. And damn it you don't age!!
Andrea is my most artistic and creative friend. She has such a positive outlook on the world and is so down to earth with her common sense. I love our in depth talks and always can count on you to cheer me up and vice versa:)
My amazing little sister:) I admire Moe's sense of adventure and love of life. She is like the little sister I never had. Your crazy enthusiasm for life and your beautiful sense of humor is amazing to be around. I love you as much as you love $20 at taco bell on a Sunday:)
Ellie is the best sister in law a girl could ever want. You came into our family and made it a better place. You're one of the kindest, good hearted people that I know and I love you like a sister.
Ronni is going to be my new sister in law and I'm proud to call her family. She has made me feel immediately accepted and welcome. I enjoy our talks and am so glad you are going to be part of our special day.
My little buddy:) I love our adventures together and cheers to many more to come!! You're such a amazing, thoughtful soul and you continually crack me up. Your outlook on life is awesome. And I love listening to your conversations with your mom!!
Renee is like a little sister and reminds me of a younger version of myself. You are such a loyal and thoughtful friend. I love our travel adventures together, our long talks and your amazing adventure in dating stories:) Highway 1 is so much fun!!
My beautiful little niece, I'm so happy to have you as family and your Auntie Sarah will always be here for you and love you. Stop growing up so fast.
Mark is Mike's brother and best friend. Even though Mark's hairline and athletic skills are far superior to Mike, he still loves him anyway and takes great satisfaction in the fact that he crushes Mark in Scarbble every time....it's the little things. Mark lives in San Diego with his wife, Ronni, and is as strong a Steeler fan as you will meet. No one is more important to Mike than Mark as he's his longest friend and greatest motivator.
Chris and Mike met in 1981. Since then, they have conquered: back yard football, Sonic the Hedgehog, '94 John Madden Football and school lunches. Chris was a born salesman with one of his best sales being talking Mike into staying with soccer. It ended up working out and they have been best friends since birth. If you are looking for a good time in Mexico, just hang around Chris. No one on this planet is more entertaining. Some may be equal, but none are better, in Mike's humble opinion. Chris and his lovely girlfriend, Sam, live in NYC and Chris will be sure to tell you how amazing the city is.
Cory is as close to perfect as you'll get on this planet. No one tops Cory in the following: perfect hair, intellignece, speaking backwards, dancing, legal counsel and barstool banter. Mike and Cory met through his college roommate, Chris Olson. Cory's loyalty is surpassed by nothing other than his ability to interpretively dance to Queen songs. Cory currently lives in downtown Columbus and is the best attorney in the freaking country.
Tim and Mike met in the college dorm in 1999 at Miami University. Not soon after that, a friendship was formed that would prove to be as strong as a Craig Sager suit. It's now been 15 years at the cabin in Frankfort and each year seems bettert than the previous. Whether its building the world's shittiest bunk bed under the influence of 24 Newcastles or playing epic tennis matches while moving around the court like George Burns, they always have a great time. Few people alive have the wit, intelligence and genuine care for quality people than Tim. If you're looking for a Neil Diamond replica (and you should), look no further.
Tim and Mike also met in 1999 at Miami University. Their first night out cannot...and will not...be mentioned here, but we're sure he's willing to tell the story in great detail in Mexico. You won't meet anyone smarter or quick-witted than Tim. If Donald Trump and his team of bufoons decide to invade Mexico while we're there, Tim is the guy you want on your side to defeat the enemy. His expertise in common sense and outdoor survival will surely be enough to take down the donald's pathetic attack. Tim and his awesome wife, Joy, live in Corvallis, OR and have one of the best front yards in the USA.
Norm and Mike met in middle school. Since then they have shared countless memories from high school soccer to college drama to early career frustrations to current being co-workers. Sarah often says "the only person I'm worried about Mike leaving me for is Norm. They talk every morning at 7am!" Norm is Mike's shoulder to cry on and he bounces every single work and life scenario off Norm. If you're searching for the most reliable person around, look no further. Norm currently lives in Dallas with his incredible wife, Sara Jo and dog Angus, and he's the only slap in Texas without cowboy boots...yet.
Alex and Mike met in preschool and are still best friends to this day. What started as two awkward left-handed kids who domainated the tee-ball scene has blossomed into a life-long friendship that will never be broken. The similarities and differences are equal, but their undenying loyalty since 1985 is unparalleled. Alex is one of the most creative people you will come across in Mexico...and that is saying something. No one knows Mike better and of all the people listed here, Alex was the only non-family member to be a shoe-in on this list as early as 1985. Alex and his hilariously cool fiance, Victoria, reside in Dallas, TX and will be tying the knot in early April.
Nick and Mike met in 1996 as soccer rivals, ironaically enough. It did not take them long to realize that while perhaps committing Metro Athletic Conference sin in being friends, the repercussions would not outweigh the benefits. Nick is the solid rock of the group and plays the role of hilarous cynic as well as confidant. Nick has seen Mike at his best and worst and never acts any differently. Nick is also left-handed (partially), further proving that like-minded geniuses stick together. Nick and his wife (and dear friend to Mike) live outisde Indianapolis, IN.
Steverino and Mike met in the neighborhood around the mid 1980s. Steve has always been the brains of the group and most level-headed (that was, of course, until he and Mike decided to get drunk for the first time before a high school football game). It was always easiest to break the law with Steve becuase none of the parents ever suspected foul behavior with Steve because all parents loved him. Little did they know, we were always up to no good. Steve and his lovely wife, Holly, live in Chicago as they traded-in their swanky downtown pad for a house in the 'burbs. In an ironic twist of fate, Steve is now viewed as the trouble-maker because of two reasons: everyone is on to his shennanigans and everyone knows Holly is a true saint.
Jim and Mike met in the mid 1990s and their relationship flourished even though Jim was 17 years older than Mike (bit of an exaggeration there). Jim welcomed Mike with open arms when they attended Miami University at the same time and they've shared numerous great times together. Bonded still through wondeful memories and the Steelers, few at this wedding are more intellectual, poised, professional and sincere than Jim. He is a person to confide in as well as someone to laugh with all night. He wears many hats and is one of the most uniquely special people in Mike's life. Jim and his fantastic wife, Ashley, live outside Dever, CO.
If you want to meet the coolest person at this wedding, look no further than Z-Bird1@yahoo.com. Mike and Zach have been friends for two decades as well as roommates and truthfully, if it were up to Mike, he'd still live with Zach. Look out for he and his twin brother, Al, to be schooling fools at the basketball pool. Ask Zach about the bucket-throwing incident on a Tuesday night in COlumbus and you'll see the funniest laugh and greatest story ever told. Zach and his wife, Lauren, live in Columbus and are two of the best people you'll ever meet.
"Vlade" as so elequently said by one of the most interesting persons on earth, has been best friends with Mike since the rough, tough days of the Canfield Swim Club in the 1980s and 1990s. Andy is a student of history and he and Mike's love for meaningless sports statistics is quite impressive, to say the least. Andy's out-of-the-box thinking and unique perspective on things makes him one of the best conversations at this wedding. Andy, like others, has been with Mike through thick and thin and will always be a close confidant. You'll probably see Andy and Mike during the week...likely more than once...debtaing some of the most obscure sports and life arguments you'll ever hear...and enjoying the hell out of every moment. He is one of the best teachers of young people you will ever meet. This country needs more teachers like he and his incredible wife, Kiki. Talk about two people making a real differnece...
Undoubtedly the most intelligent of Mike's friends (sorry, Bill....bar is not to high here as you know), Bill is also probably the most dynamic of all people on this list. Bill and Mike have known one another since the mid 1980s (see a theme here?) and no one will tell you like it is like Bill. He's a man of many experiences and most of he and Mike's together have been memorable and fantastic, to say the least. Few people are most well-rounded than he. There is no better conert-goer that Bill Thomas and you'll see a glimpse of that one the dance floor on March 17, 2017. If you're not entertained when you talk to Bill, you have social issues. Bill lives in Chicago and travels all around the country for his job...leaving bits of his greatness everywhere he goes.
To my brothers, I love you both so much and it means everything to me to have you walk me down the aisle on this special day. We grew up together and it wasn't always sunshine and rainbows but we got through it together and came out on the other side:) Love you both and can't wait to see you!!
To my Cupcake, it feels like yesterday I was dropping you off at kindergarten and you told me I couldn't call you my little pooh bear anymore that you were now my big pooh bear since you were going to school and now you're in college, where did time go?? You're my world and I love you so much.
We are still working out details for the rehersal dinner. It is a possibility that rehersal will be a morning walk through of what everyone needs to do and then an afternoon catamaran trip with your spouse/partner/guest that will include food and drinks.
If you are part of the wedding party please plan to arrive the day before and leave extra time in case of flight delays.
We want our wedding to have a laid back beach atmosphere. Shoes are optional and feel free to bring a cocktail to the beach with you.
Following the wedding we will have a 30 minute break for the bride and groom to get a few sunset pictures so feel free to go grab a drink or tequila shot before dinner!!
The reception will be held on the Tequila terrace (the terrace right next to where the ceremony took place). Please be prompt and seated at 7:00pm, there will be a sit down 3 course dinner and dessert served followed by music, dancing, a pinata and sparklers on the beach!!
Sparklers on the beach:) Because drunk people and things that light on fire go hand in hand right?
In typical Mike fashion, he had an elaborate plan to propose on their favorite beach, Coronado dog beach, with friend Morgan hiding in the dunes to take photos. The issue came the night before when Mike parked his Jeep...with no top...on the street in downtown San Diego. Unfortunately, and not surpirsingly, Mike left his wallet right there on the front seat. The next day Mike and Sarah were about to walk out the door and their speacial day...unbeknownst to Sarah...was about to be underway. As they exited their apartment, Mike reached for his wallet and immediately began to panic as he knew it was gone. He knew he was in trouble and grabbed his passport and went to the bank to take out cash. Shaking and obviously flustered, he talked himself into proposing as soon as he got home. He walked into the apartment and bolted upstairs to grab the jewelry. Nothing was going to stop him...not even his wife-to-be standing in the living room with a basket full of laundry. Nervous as hell, he got down on one knee and professed his love for Sarah and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Luckily, she said yes and Mike at least had one trick up his sleeve. He had arranged for friends and family to meet them at the bar they went to on their first date and surpirsed Sarah. What started as a total disaster ended up being one of the best days of their lives.
Sarah and Mike met at a work lunch in San Diego. After several pathetic attempts by Mike to ask Sarah out, she finally caved at a boring dental conference several weeks later.
The first date certainly did not go as planned as Mike asked Sarah to go to the local farmer's market in Little Italy. Only problem was that Mike had the days wrong and the farmer's market was on Saturday, not Sunday. After walking around determined to find the famrer's market, Mike realized his blunder and they went to a local bar to have a drink. After a few cocktails, Sarah ordered the corn dogs and the rest iis history.
Sarah was able to lure Mike in by cooking the world's best gnocci at his home in San Diego.
Transportation to and from the resort to the airport can be arranged through Sarah Halpern when booking your room reservation with her or you may take a taxi from the airport I would recomend booking transportation in advace to avoid being taken advantage of by a taxi.
If you do rent a car make sure to ask what the insurance fee's are, from my understanding your American car insurance doesn't cover you in other countries and though you may be quoted a very low fee for the actual car rental the insurance is quite expensive (Mike and I had this surprise experience at Budget rental car after standing in line for over 30 minutes behind quite a few angry surprised people and want to spare our guests from having it.)
There is an Avis rental car onsite at the resort if you want to adventure out to Tulum or Playa Del Carmen. There is also a rental car place in Puerto Morelos called Europcar and another called Getaway Rental Car.
All travel to Mexico requires a passport and it must be valid for 6 months after planned travel dates for entry into the country.

For resort booking please contact:
We have reserved a block of rooms for our guests at a discounted rate. All reservations must be made through Sarah Halpern for the discounted rate not through the hotel directly.
Puerto Morelos is 24 Km (14.913 miles) south from Cancun International Airport and is roughly a 25 minute drive. You may arrange transportation through Sarah Halpern, taxi or for our more adventurous guests you may rent a car (it is a pretty straight drive down the coast on a main freeway 307).
Now Sapphire is an all inclusive resort (all food, alcohol, and non motorized water sports are included in the rate provided in our room block as well as all taxes and fees). It is part of the Dreams Resort chain and you may make arrangements through the resort after booking to have dinner at any of the sister resorts in the area (there is one in Tulum if you end up going to see the ruins which is an hour and a half south). The resort has 24 hour room service, complimentary stocked mini bars in all rooms, 8 dining choices and several bars on site.
The rooms we reserved in our room block are the deluxe junior suites with a tropical view. The rooms are 520 sq ft, with either a king bed or two double beds. They can accomodate two adults and two children or three adults. You may choose to upgrade to Ocean View, etc. when booking.
We reserved a limited number of rooms on a first come first serve basis at the discounted rate, so please make your reservation as soon as possible.

$362.09 per night for a double occupancy
$539.87 per night for a triple occupancy
$65.00 per night for a child 3-12 years old
All prices are all inclusive for food/alcohol and include all taxes
We must make our final adjustments to the amount of rooms in our block by November 21st without it being a cost penalty to us so please book before then or we will be adjusting our block down based on what is already booked and you will have to go through the resort directly at a significantly higher rate (I checked it today 10-12-2016 and it is $446 per night for 2 guests before resort fee's and taxes)
We hope that all of our guests will join us at this location for pre wedding festivities. For those guests staying offsite please make arrangements through the resort directly for a day pass to attend which is $65 per person.
Mike and I chose this resort because of it's easy accessability and beautiful swimable beach. It does have a kids club for guests bringing children but wanting some adult relaxation.
Welcome to our wedsite & get your passports ready!!
We created this space as a special way for friends and family to participate, celebrate with us and to answer any questions about arrangements/details. We hope you enjoy browsing these pages for photos and stories about us and our future plans. And while you are here, please sign our guestbook and rsvp.
We selected Mexico as our wedding destination because we know most of our guests would have to travel in order to attend our special day and we wanted it to be a destination that would be fun and relaxing. We hope you are able to make a mini vacation out of our wedding and those of you from Ohio and Virginia can escape the March weather and join us for some sun and fun!!
With our recent move to Arizona we don't get to see our friends and family on a daily basis and wanted to spend more than just an evening with all of you because we miss you very much!!
